Mission and Vision

Climate change is widely recognised as one of the major environmental problems facing the world. Investments in energy efficiency combat global climate change in terms of clean energy structures and enhance a low-carbon economy to promote a sustainable development.
 A low-carbon economy is a framework including concepts such as low-carbon production and consumption, low-carbon living and cities.

Mission = Integration

  • A laboratory extended to the whole Campus that integrates research, education and technology transfer;
  • A multidisciplinary laboratory, which integrates the skills of ICT, systems, architecture, law and economy;
  • An open laboratory, multivendor, which integrates subsystems of different suppliers;

Vision = Culture, @UniBS you learn a sustainable lifestyle

  • Production of clean energy, logics of management supported by energy storage systems, flexible loads (eg charge of electric vehicles);
  • Real-time ICT infrastructures for distributed monitoring, modeling and prognostics
  • Implementation of efficiency measures in buildings (cognitive buildings, sensorized environments and smart devices);
  • Non-intrusive and privacy-friendly monitoring systems (GDPR UE2016 / 679);

eLUX operates in this framework and devotes its research activities to manage energy system and to develop facilities for energy management system, use of renewable energies, innovative technologies, and energy efficiency. eLUX is a place where companies, researchers and students can share their specific skills and it can provide tailored services to all users.
